The 6th Global WAQF Conference 2018 is jointly organized by Al-Madinah International University, Malaysia, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, Islamic Foundation, Thailand, International Islamic University, Malaysia, UNIRAZAK, Malaysia, and Pekan Baru, Indonesia.
The theme of the conference is Waqf-Maqasid Shariah Transformation Agenda for 4th Industrial Revolution. The comference provides a platform for participants of various background and sectors from different countries to deliberate issues relating to the transformation of the entire Waqf system to emanate a strategic plan, which integrate Waqf and Maqasid Shariah for the optimal achievement in the well-being of the Muslim society leveraging on the surge of 4th Industrial Revolution.
The overall objective of developing a Global Waqf Development Gateway is to drive the transformation of the economic and social integration together with the global economy towards a new era of prosperity, happiness and governance of justice, fairness in wealth-generation- asset-management and distribution in the society.
